Code of Conduct

HUNTINGTON BEACH BOCCE CLUB

CODE OF CONDUCT

 

  1. All members shall abide by the city of Huntington Beach Parks rules and regulations. (see below)

  2. All members shall treat other members and visitors with respect.

  3. Players shall limit their use of foul language (swearing or cursing)

  4. no pushing, shoving or aggressive physical contact will be tolerated

  5. no snide remarks made to other members or guests regarding their lack of bocce skills (we were all beginners once), no picking on one another, no name calling no behaviors that are embarrassing to our Club and its members, and no poor sportsmanship.

  6. Physical or verbal abuse from one member to another member or guest is grounds for suspension and dismissal.

  7. All Bocce play shall be held in compliance with United States Bocce Federation (USBF) Open Rules

 

Huntington Beach Park Rules

  1. No motor vehicles are permitted in the park. Come prepared to carry your articles from the parking lot. No exceptions!

  2. No alcoholic beverages of any type are permitted.

  3. Smoking or vaping is prohibited in Huntington Beach Parks. MC 13.48.115

  4. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and you must clean up after your dog. Contract Animal Control. MC 13.48.070

  5. No sound amplifying devices are permitted. This includes amplifiers for voice, musical instruments, etc., and includes hand held devices. MC 13.48.010

  6. No selling or advertising of any product or service.

  7. The playing or participation in any hazardous game or activity is prohibited.  Such activities include, but are not limited to: baseball, tackle football, golf, field hockey, rugby, cricket, boxing, wrestling, martial arts, combat games, wading, swimming, boating, model airplanes, model power boats, possession of any firearm, air gun, slingshot, bow & arrow, spear, fireworks, rockets, lighting of fires except in approved devices, and erecting of any barriers. MC 13.48.120

  8. Vandalism, littering, boisterous conduct, and gambling are prohibited. MC.13.48.080

  9. All signs and any orders issued by the City of Huntington Beach must be obeyed.

  10. Park curfew is from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.  Violation of any of the above rules may result in a citation, arrest, or cancellation of your activity.
